nychthemeron

A full-length album featuring 12 of the best songs I wrote between 2022 and 2024 (but definitely not the best of 2025). Something interesting I can say about this album is that every song is supposed to represent a time of day (hence the name of the album), with the first song being at 8 AM and the last one at 6 AM, which makes it loop back around.

Tracklist

  1. believe me, you'll see

I wrote this song about a friend who was dating somebody me and my friends had negative experiences with, knowing what he's actually like and realizing that she's probably in this relationship just because she doesn't wanna be alone made me write this song. This is still one of my favourite songs of mine, 'You'll only feel loved when you leave' is what some people need to hear.

  2. i don't wanna ask

My friends were messing around on a Discord call one night, one of them was talking about personal life experiences, the other was creating random stacks on Splice and rapping over them. Eventually the line 'i don't wanna ask her though' came up, and I heard my friend rapping 'i don't wanna ask, i don't wanna ask her' over this random beat. I thought it could be a pretty interesting song, so I added a melody to the chords we had and the rest just fell into place. That's still a very fun memory for me, because it's the only song I wrote with both of them on a call like that.

  3. sunshine

The only released song that was originally produced in GarageBand (also written at my grandma's house), just thought that was interesting.

  4. i feel it all

The synth riff really carries this one. The original mumbled lyric was 'i feel it all' and I just ended up keeping that and making the song about me and my relationship with my 'haters' from the past.

  5. my destiny

This is my only released Misha Florian song so far that has lyrics inspired by a video game (The Walking Dead). Just thought it would make for interesting lyrics that would leave many people confused as to what I'm even talking about lol. It can still be pretty emotional / exciting to listen to though because of the rhythm and melodies. The vocal effect (Little AlterBoy) in the bridge makes this one pretty unique, I love how it goes back to normal as I sing 'and I saw you'.

  6. lovers game

I wrote this about a friend who never spoke to me, but still expected me to be there for them when they wanted my attention. I had this instrumental and vocal melody ready since 2022, but I never really knew what to write it about. When this person left my friend group and said something along the lines of 'It is what it is, life goes on, people drift apart', I thought it would be great to write a song about it.

  7. guilty

This was a song I started writing in March 2023 and immediately knew it was going to be my new best song for a while. The night I got the idea for it, my friend was telling me how music can be used to express honesty about things you would otherwise never say. This was something I thought about a lot at the time, and this song really helped me get over it. I really focused on making the production the best it could be, making around 5 different versions of it. I'd still say it sounds pretty good for what I was going for, so it was worth it.

  8. all i know

I spent so much time on the production, probably one of my best sounding songs yet.

  9. moonlight

I was never going to release this after first making the demo in 2023, but listening back to it in 2025 really changed my mind, I thought it was epic. I think I was never going to release it because it sounds very much like 'Love Me Back' from my EP 'Beautiful' (with the structure - strings in the bridge - and the chord progression), but it's honestly much better than that song + it's so atmospheric which I love.

  10. come back home

Written in December 2022, this song is from the point of view of my ex-girlfriend, how I think she felt about the end of our relationship when we were 13 years old.

  11. like to like you

One of the best, if not the best song on the album. Very clean.

  12. since i've last seen you

Same topic as guilty, I thought it was a very nice goodbye to that whole incident in my life.
